Intergenerational Theatre Productions (ITP) is holding auditions for their production of “For Feet’s Sake,” which will be directed by Chava Curland.
In this funny, poignant take on the classic tale of The Little Mermaid, Thessaly, the youngest of five mermaid sisters, yearns to visit the surface. When she finally gets her wish, she falls in love with a human prince, and makes a bargain with a witch that will allow her to be human too. But there’s a deadly catch — if she doesn’t marry the prince, she’ll become sea foam, caught between land and water forever. Featuring a Narrator-Emcee, a frustrated Mer-King, and a location-creating Chorus, this reimagining offers comic, tragic, and surprising twists on a familiar story.
ITP’s mission is to provide quality, fun and educational theatre programming for children, seniors and the community. We are excited about our 10th season production. We are actively seeking people ages 3 and older to attended auditions and be a part of this creative show. There are many familiar characters and scenes along with some fun surprises. We need a large cast, which will include principle roles and several ensemble members who will play a variety of roles. There are many opportunities for children, tweens, teens, and adults to perform together. There are 2 male roles, 8 female roles, and many non-gender specific roles available.
No preparation is necessary! Just come ready to move and bring your creativity. Please arrive early to fill-out forms and a conflict calendar.
